What if everyone in the world was living on purpose?
In 2016, this audacious question propelled our creation of the International Day of Purpose®. In the same way that we celebrate the power of women with International Women's Day in March, and the power of peace on the International Day of Peace in September, we want to encourage the world to celebrate the power of purpose through the International Day of Purpose®.
Held annually on June 20th, this day was created to inspire people to celebrate and activate the power of purpose. On this day, we encourage everyone to reflect on the power of their purpose, live with positive intention, and share stories with the world of how you live on purpose by using the hashtag #DayOfPurpose.

The International Day of Purpose® was founded in 2016 by CEO and Founder of The OnPurpose Movement (OPM), Jovian Zayne. After spending years in talent development and recruitment she continued to notice a trend – there was continual frustration for those of us who lost focus on our WHY. She began to wonder, what would happen if everyone in the world was centered on their why? What if we all were living on purpose?

Glad you asked. Any and everywhere. While our organization is partnering with Ambassadors to host formal OnPurpose events all over the world, you can also celebrate on your own – take individual action or decide to host something for your community to celebrate the day – you can do what feels right and intentional to honor a day created to help us all think about how we live with more good intention and purpose.
There are so many ways to celebrate! Whether it’s by sharing your purpose on social media, participating in a local event, or using the OnPurpose Guide to reflect, there are endless ways to celebrate.
